...AND YEEEWWWE LIIIIGHT UP MYYYYY LIIIIIIIFE - YEEEEWWWE GIIIVE ME HOOOOOPE...

Greetings!

This week, our thoughts go out to those affected by the earthquake, tsunami and subsequent nuclear reactor problems in Japan.  In particular I think we all breathe a collective sigh of relief that our alumnus, Shelley Bearse has finally made it out of Tokyo and is now safely in Okinawa.

This will be a short newsletter.  For some that will come as a relief, for others, it will mean that they finish their read before they finish their coffee.  Next Week's newsletter should be fun, as I will be in Cleveland after a weekend of parties celebrating Moondog Coronation Ball.

Missing Topic Kills Momentum

I had hoped to start out this week's newsletter with the topic of the week on Facebook - that being your least favorite songs, however we had just gotten a good discussion going, when Facebook lost what appears to be about two weeks worth of postings, so I am unable to share the list I was going to compile from the posts.  I have sent a message off to them, asking why posts seem to have been disappearing, some returning shortly after and some never returning.  For the time being, I will concentrate more on building the website at www.Tecumsehreunion.com and let the dust settle on the Facebook group before posting anything new.

Spring Break

It has been somewhat of a slower week for registrations and ticket sales, but I attribute that to the fact that for many it is Spring Break and they are on the road.  We have had a number of website registrations, so there has not been a complete lack of activity, however in comparison to past weeks, activity is down this week.

Lost Alumni

Of the list of "lost alumni" posted last week, we have located Cathy Emans and Fraser Johnson.  Great additions to our group, however this represents a considerable drop in response over last week.  Now that Spring Break is over, I expect that we will see more participation, more registrations and ultimately, MORE TICKET SALES!!

This week's list of "lost alumni"  include the following people:

RUSS HARLICK
MARYANN SELCAGE
RICK MINDORFF
KATHY LARKIN
SHARON BROWN
LINDA MORRIS
GREG BUNNETT
SUE ALLEMEERSH
RON MANN
LEE BECHARD
STEPHANIE HASKELL
KAREN MORRIS
MARY ELLEN JUBENVILLE
CHERYL HOEKSTRA

This list represents one person from each year listed on our alumni website.  Please help us by providing any contact information or last known whereabouts so that we may add these people to our "Found Alumni" list! and get our email newsletter to them.

Many Still to Contact!

We are now exactly 4 months away from our upcoming reunion weekend and much needs to be done.  We are still looking for around 1500 people, and although many are doing a great job of referring people to the website or providing information to us so that we may add them to our newsletter list, there are still many people out there that could be easily located by some by merely looking across the family dinner table on Sunday.  There are still many siblings out there that have not yet registered.  Please do not deprive your siblings or their friends the opportunity to come and enjoy this reunion as you will.  Please also encourage you sibs and all else to contact their peer group and get them on board!  It has been said more than once that the momentum that this reunion is building will be unmatched by any future reunion attempt, so let's all work together to make this the blow out that we all want it to be!!

Favourite High School Dance Songs

We are still looking for your list of favourite songs for the Saturday night dance.  You can send your list to me at Scott@Primeaumusic.com and I will add you songs or your votes to the list...highest rated songs will get the best play slot in the evening!

Who All is Coming?

A number of people have asked us how they know who is coming to the reunion.  I can tell you that most who have registered on the website have expressed their intention to attend the reunion, however if you look on the list at http://www.Tecumsehreunion.com/Secure/Class%20List.asp you will see an orange check mark next to any names who have actually paid for their tickets.  I would  urge you to get your check mark beside your name soon so that your friends will see that you are attending and will follow suit.

Back Issues of Newsletters

If you have come late to the party and have only recently started to receive our email newsletter, you can look at all of our back issues since the first one by going here: http://www.Tecumsehreunion.com/Newsletters/Newsletters.htm . All of our newsletters are linked on this page and are listed by date published, so you can go back and see how it started out and follow the progress, watching the momentum grow!
